Dr. Tucker was named President of The Canadian Medical Protective Association in August 2007.

A practising neurosurgeon in Toronto, Dr. Tucker is on the active staff at St. Michael's Hospital and has held consulting appointments at North York General, Scarborough General and Centenary and St. Joseph's Hospitals.  Until recently, he was head of the Division of Neurosurgery at St. Michael's Hospital, where he was also the first head of the Trauma Service.  He is an associate professor at the University of Toronto where he served as the director of undergraduate education in the Department of Surgery and has been the program director for the University of Toronto's Division of Neurosurgery.
