The CMPA provides funding for research that leads to the creation of new knowledge or the transfer of existing knowledge into improved patient safety and better quality of healthcare for Canadians.

Grant program 2012

For 2012, the CMPA Council approved two funding budgets — one in support of collaborative research projects and one in support of risk management program development. The council also approved funding to a maximum of $50,000 to support similar community-based projects. The CMPA is encouraging submissions for projects or programs that will improve patient care and safety, and that decrease medico-legal risks in the varied healthcare settings and within interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
