Candidate statement
Having started to practice Medicine in Manitoba as an Orthopaedic Surgeon since 2008, my priority has been to provide exemplary care in my field. In our privileged position as health care providers, patient care, safety and protection is paramount. I realise the importance of policy and administration management in our health care system. I have became quite passionate in this pursuit. I believe my path to-date both professionally and personally will allow me to continue in strengthening the CMPA as a Council Member. The CMPA ideals of fairness, accountability and decisiveness are ones that resonant with me and I will promote if successful. I have greatly valued the essential role and services provided by the CMPA and their strive for protecting their members integrity, the provision of safe medical care and recognising when there is a need to provide compensation to patients due to negligence.
