This organization is vital to the health of our physicians!
My primary concern is going to be for our members who on a daily basis face so many stresses. These are not limited solely to their practices and the actual medical acts that they do but even more commonly extend to communication issues and to the medias' negative perception of physicians. More and more our doctors are feeling the stress of their local provincial colleges. It is here that I can bring a unique expertise as I have served on the council and on the executive of the Quebec college des medecins and have as well even been disciplined by them. This particular provincial focus I will pay special attention to, if elected, at the CMPA.
I have also worked and have been on the board of many diverse medical organizations: national, provincial, local and international. This has given me a strong background on how they function. But more importantly I have served for over 15 years as a médecin examinateur dealing with complaints from patients and families.
I now have the flexibility to be responsive and available to the entire landscape of concerns of all our members.
