Candidate statement

Almost ten years ago I was named in a malpractice suit with three other physicians and one allied medical professional. I contacted the CMPA immediately after being served and the CMPA associate instructed me what steps would follow. Within a week, my legal council was appointed and I met with her at my office and we reviewed the case. She reassured me that my medical reports and care appeared to be order but it would be a long process before the case was concluded.
Over the next three years my legal council kept me appraised of any legal developments and arranged for me to take advantage of the AMA mental-health support services. In the end, the charges against myself and the two other physicians were thankfully dropped.
Operating a sole medical office and raising a young family are plenty for anyone to handle well. My experience with the CMPA has always made me want to give back to this institution as a member of Council to see if I can improve on this process in our ever changing world.
You will see from my clinical, research, governance, business, mentorship and advisory experience outlined below that I hope to make a worthwhile contribution to the CMPA moving forward.
