Dr. Paula Cashin is Canada’s first Indigenous radiologist and nuclear medicine physician, working in rural Newfoundland since 2009. As a physician leader, she is a strong advocate for equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) in medicine. Dr. Cashin has completed a Master of Laws (LLM) and is now focused on the creation of a national physician dispute resolution process.

The Nominating Committee values her experience in dispute resolution, her lens on equity, diversity, and inclusion and her governance, business, and finance experience gained through her various leadership roles.
