The CMPA does not edit or make changes to photos or to information provided by candidates in the submission form or candidate statement. Candidates are responsible for the spelling and accuracy of the information provided in writing and for their photo composition, format, and resolution.
Candidate statement
The Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) has been supportive of my cardiac surgical career for decades. Their sound legal advice and backing have allowed me to work unfettered, devoting time to what matters most – patients of today (clinical work) and the patients of tomorrow (research). Few members realize that CMPA not only protects physicians from patients but also from colleagues and unwarranted administrative action. I sincerely wish to give back to this great association; as I have been assisted, I now wish to assist others.
