Candidate statement
The CMPA provides vital support to physicians in stressful times. Health Care is an increasingly complex system for physicians to be a part of, with physicians being involved in system failures that they did not create but are connected to through their care of patients. My Masters Degree in healthcare quality provides me with a unique perspective on how physicians function in this system, which can assist in defending physicians in situations that resulted or were significantly impacted by system failures. Anesthesia provides experience in working on standardization of care to reduce adverse outcomes. Working with the CMPA, I will work tirelessly for stakeholders and strive for system improvements.
I am committed to supporting physicians and working for the best possible outcome in each situation. A quality assurance mindset will bolster the CMPA’s ability to mitigate risk and improve safety for physicians and our patients. The CMPA has a long history of delivering value with premium reimbursements when claims are low. Working to address system issues will further lower claims and keep physicians protected. My skill set will bolster the CPMA and position the organization for future success.
