Dr. Clover Hemans is a primary care physician from Burlington, Ontario. She has dedicated much of her career to providing compassionate care to patients and to educating medical trainees in both the clinical setting and in the classroom by facilitating sessions geared to developing self-reflection, communication, and mentorship skills.

As past-president of the Federation of Medical Women of Canada and past co-chair of the Ontario Medical Association’s Women Committee, she brings both national and provincial leadership experience. Having also completed a Master’s degree in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, Dr. Hemans offers a unique perspective to safe care and physician wellness initiatives.

The CMPA Nominating Committee values Dr. Hemans’ extensive leadership and governance experience, including her role as chair of the CMPA Governance Committee. In addition, she brings vast clinical experience along with a diverse background in quality, risk, and safety initiatives, all of which benefit the CMPA Council.
