Dr. Darcy Johnson is a family physician in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In addition to his practice as a medical officer at 17 Wing Royal Canadian Air Force Base, Dr. Johnson provides medical care in Ile des Chênes, Manitoba. He also provides care at Stony Mountain Institution and Concordia Hospital, where he is an active member of the medical staff.
As a longstanding and passionate advocate for physicians, Dr. Johnson is a past president of Doctors Manitoba and of the Manitoba College of Family Physicians. In addition to being selected as Manitoba Family Physician of the Year from the College of Family Physicians of Canada in 2009, he also received the Reg Perkin award, as one of Canada’s Family Physicians of the Year in 2009. He has served on many boards and committees, including with the Canadian Medical Association, the College of Family Physicians of Canada, and MD Financial Management.
