As an internal medicine and occupational medicine physician, Dr. Joyce Zhang brings an understanding of the healthcare sector from both the public and private sectors. She also supervises occupational medicine fellows on industry rotation, for both Canadian and international medical graduates.
Dr. Zhang’s governance experience includes serving on the Ontario Medical Association’s Section on Occupational and Environmental Medicine and the board of the Occupational Medicine Specialists of Canada.
Her occupational work has increased her knowledge in medico-legal work and provided insight into the fields of patient safety and high-risk medical practice.
The CMPA Nominating Committee believes Council would benefit from Dr. Zhang’s experience as an early career physician and occupational medicine specialist. Her diverse perspective and governance knowledge will be valuable to fostering the long-term success of the Association.
