Paul Healey

Dr. Paul Healey is a full-time emergency physician with 20 years of experience practising in Oakville, Ontario. He has also been involved in teaching medical students, residents, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners.

Dr. Healey has served on multiple hospital committees involving emergency department design and hospital transition to electronic medical records. He is a graduate of the Rotman School of Management’s Advanced Health Leadership Program. He co-created an online community for physicians to learn from each other about practice management, personal finance, and evidence-based investing.

His experience as a medical inspector with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and as a medical expert in legal proceedings allows him to provide valuable insights into professional regulation and medico-legal cases.

The CMPA Nominating Committee values Dr. Healey’s leadership capabilities, including his having served as chair of the CMPA Pension Committee, along with his financial acumen and proficiency in business.
