Dr. Birinder Singh is the medical director of Eglinton Station Medical Centre in midtown Toronto where he practices family medicine. He is also a lawyer, having completed a combined MD/LLB degree at Western University. Dr. Singh completed a judicial clerkship under The Honourable Mr. Justice Ian Binnie of the Supreme Court of Canada, followed by family medicine residency at the Toronto Western Hospital. Along with his position on CMPA Council, he is also a board member of Médecins Sans Frontières Canada.

Dr. Singh has a varied background, having been a medical inspector at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, a legal consultant for interveners at the Supreme Court of Canada, and an adjunct professor in the Family Medicine program at the University of Toronto. He is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and is a Fellow of the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
