Dr. Clover Hemans is a graduate of McMaster University’s Medical School and Family Medicine Residency. She is also a graduate of the University of Toronto with an undergraduate degree in Nursing, and a Master of Science in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety a few decades later. She has worked in the Halton Region for many years. Other roles include Past President of the Federation of Medical Women of Canada, past delegate in the Section of General and Family Medicine (SGFP) at the Ontario Medical Association, Chair of the SGFP Governance Committee, and Co-Chair of the OMA Women Committee. She writes and speaks about women in medicine, women and medical leadership, equity, diversity, inclusion, intersectionality, and career advancement. Dr. Hemans is a recipient of the 2021, Canadian Women in Medicine’s Inspiring Women Physicians Award.
