Dr. Geneviève Lalonde is an anesthesiologist with a subspecialty in cardiac anesthesiology. She is currently working in Québec City at the IUCPQ. She has been practising her specialty since 2014.
Dr. Lalonde completed her medical degree and residency in anesthesiology at Université Laval and obtained a Master’s degree in epidemiology (clinical research) in Québec City. She then pursued her fellowship in cardiac anesthesiology at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg where she practised for 6 years before returning to Québec. She is currently a clinical lecturer at the Faculty of medicine of Université Laval.
Dr. Lalonde has participated in several mentoring programs for medical students and residents. She has served on the management committee of the anesthesiology program and on the economic committee of her provincial medical association. She also supports professional development of physicians through her work as an Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) instructor. Dr. Lalonde has published several articles and received various awards during her career.
Elected to CMPA Council in 2021, Dr. Lalonde applies her leadership and her interest in governance by serving on several committees.
