Dr. Jenn D’Mello is a pediatrician in Calgary, Alberta, specializing in pediatric emergency medicine and child maltreatment pediatrics. She graduated from the University of Calgary and completed residency in Winnipeg, Manitoba, before returning to Calgary for fellowship. She has practised at the Alberta Children’s Hospital (ACH) since 2012 and is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Calgary.
Dr. D’Mello has served on multiple Alberta Medical Association committees, is on the University of Calgary MD Admissions committee, and previously served as the deputy chief of the ACH emergency department. She received the University of Calgary Department of Pediatrics CARE Leadership Award in 2022 and was a Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal recipient in 2023 for her leadership in pediatric emergency medicine.
Dr. D’Mello is known for her work evaluating cases of suspected child abuse and has provided expert witness testimony in numerous cases. She has an interest in the intersection of medicine and law, and how to support the well-being of physicians facing medico-legal issues.
