Dr. Jill Cunniffe is a hospitalist physician practising in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. A graduate of Dalhousie University, she completed her residency at the University of Calgary and began her clinical and leadership career in Calgary before relocating to the East Coast.
Dr. Cunniffe is passionate about leadership that creates inclusive, respectful, and collaborative medical culture. Over her career, she has held a variety of leadership roles in human resource planning and as a clinical department head for many years. She is a former president of the Medical Society of PEI and served as the acute care coordinator for Health PEI’s COVID-19 response. More recently, she was the chairperson of the Health PEI Medical Staff Bylaws Review Committee. Dr. Cunniffe holds a Masters Certificate in Physician Leadership from the Schulich School of Business.
Dr. Cunniffe is a recipient of the Outstanding Service in Hospital Medicine Award from the Canadian Society of Hospital Medicine.
