Dr. Marie-Josée Laganière has been a family physician since 2010. She practises primarily at the University Family Medicine Group (U-FMG) Nord de Lanaudière, where she combines clinical practice, teaching, and management. A graduate in family medicine from Université Laval, she holds a certification in lifestyle medicine and is a fellow of the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
An associate professor and dedicated teaching physician involved in training the next generation of physicians, Dr. Laganière currently serves as associate director of academic affairs for the Department of Family Medicine at the Université Laval. She also holds several academic and clinical leadership roles, including serving as educational assistant within her U-FMG.
In parallel with her work at the U-FMG, she has accumulated more than 16 years of experience in various clinical settings, including emergency and long term care homes.. Her career is distinguished by her commitment to and interest in medical education, governance, continuous quality improvement, and lifestyle medicine.
