Dr. Heather Scott is a maternal fetal medicine specialist and head of the division of obstetrics at the IWK Health Centre in Halifax. She worked for many years as the Obstetric (OB) lead for the Reproductive Care Program of Nova Scotia, which has strengthened her understanding of the challenges of working in somewhat isolated communities.
The Nominating Committee values Dr. Scott’s health system and governance experience, and her focus on patient safety specific to her specialty.
