Candidate Statement

CMPA plays a leading role in protecting the integrity of its members and supporting the quality and safety of care. It is a strong, reliable organization you can count on, even as everything around us continues to change.

For many people, CMPA is something they think about only when they need it. We tend to overlook just how complex this organization is—and how much behind-the-scenes work it takes to manage it soundly and keep it moving forward. Since 2023, I have served on various Council committees, including the Executive Committee, which has allowed me to fully understand how the organization works.

I am asking once again for your confidence for a 2nd term, and I am ready to take on increased responsibilities.

As a specialist in public health and preventive medicine, I bring a unique perspective that complements those of my colleagues within Council. With more than 30 years of practice in a variety of settings—regional, national, and academic—and with various responsibilities, I now work at the CISSS des Laurentides. Every day, I see firsthand the challenges, risks, and difficulties associated with the transformations underway, both in primary care and in hospitals.

Drawing on my experience as a board member within a government organization, I bring Council a solid background in governance. In 2025, I completed a chartered director program (ASC) to further strengthen these competencies.

With my strategic outlook and critical thinking, I hope to contribute to achieving CMPA’s priority goals, maintaining sound management, and ensuring effective risk oversight. I want to support CMPA in its continued evolution so that you remain confident in the relevance and quality of the services offered to you.
